Privacy Policy

Espresso Player is a free, open-source desktop music player. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no telemetry. The developer does not collect, receive or store any information about you or how you use the app.

Data stored on your computer

Your library, playlists, settings and a metadata cache are saved only on your own device, in the app's local data folder. They are never uploaded anywhere. Uninstalling the app and deleting that folder removes them.

Internet connections

The app plays your local files offline. It connects to third-party services only for these optional features:

• Internet radio — station searches are sent to the public Radio Browser directory, and the station you choose streams directly from that station's server.
• Album artwork — when a track has no embedded cover, the artist and album name are sent to the public Apple iTunes Search API to look up a cover image.
• Fonts — the interface loads typefaces from Google Fonts.

Like any internet request, these services can see your IP address and the request itself. They are handled under their own privacy policies. No personal information such as your name, email or files is ever sent.

Children

The app collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
